Description
The IS215UCCAH3A is a controller component manufactured by GE for the Mark VIe system.The Mark VIe is a management platform designed by GE to manage their heavy-duty gas and steam turbines. UCCx controllers like the IS215UCCAH3A are CompactPCI (CPCI) single board computers that are designed to run application code.It runs on a QNX Neutrino operating system, which is a high-speed, high-reliability multitasking OS designed for industrial applications. The controller mounts in a CPCI enclosure.It communicates through onboard network interfaces to its I/O packs. The IS215UCCAH3A is a single slot component.It has a 650 MHz Intel Celeron Processor and includes a 10BaseT/100BaseTx Ethernet port for connectivity to the UDH (unit data highway.) This is the computing engine for the Mark VIe controller. The front faceplate of the IS215UCCAH3Ahas two slots for Mezzanine cards. Below this is the UDH port with Ethernet status LEDs, two COM ports, and four status LEDs.It is worth noting this board has both ejectors and injectors. Injectors must be locked after the insertion of the board, or the controller will not boot.The board is fitted with a lithium battery that supplies power to the CMOS, which has a service life of ten years. TheIS215UCCAH3A is populated by integrated circuits, capacitors, inductor coils, resistors, board connectors, batteries, heat sinks, and jumper switches.Proper jumper settings can be found by referencing manufacturer publications like user guides and manuals. The board has an operating temperature of 0 to 60 degrees Celsius and is air cooled by a fan located at the bottom of the CPCI rack.If this fan fails, rising temperatures may cause damage to the controller.
