Description
The IS205IGDPG1A is a small board component created by GE for the Mark VI system.The Speedtronic Mark VI turbine control has a three-decade history of successful management of gas and steam turbines behind its development.It is a complete management solution that offers centralized integration of control, monitoring and protection. The system's Central Control Module connects via termination cards loaded in a 13- or 21- slot VME card rack to the rest of the system.Inputs are digitally filtered and converted to 32-bit IEEE-854 floating point format. Most data from the system can be accessed via a connected HMI (human/machine interface) built from a PC workstation running on a Windows platform. This non-essential component of the control system gives access to process and diagnostic alarms, system events, and software maintenance tools. TheIS205IGDPG1A functions as an IGDM power board. This is an auxiliary (daughterboard) board to the IS200IGDM board that is installed at a ninety-degree angle to the primary board. It is soldered to the surface of the motherboard via its HP1 connector and connected to a heat sink using screw connections threaded through an oval opening located within the body of the board for additional support. TheIS205IGDPG1A has few components.Board components include three capacitors (C1 through C3,) a diode (D1,) a toroidal SMT power inductor (L1,) and a single integrated circuit.The integrated circuit is a Simple Switcher power converter that functions as a 3A step-down voltage regulator. It operates at a switching frequency of 150 kHz.
