Description

The IS200VSVAH1A is a board component created by GE for the Mark VI system. The Mark VI, which is part of GE's ‘Speedtronic' line, is a gas and steam turbine management system that is designed with triple-redundant backups on all critical controls and protection parameters. The IS200VSVAH1A is a Servo Control board.It controls up to four electro-hydraulic servo valves that start the fuel/steam valves.Control of these valves is achieved through the use of two TSVA terminal boards. The IS200VSVAH1A has a front faceplate.This includes three connectors (J5, J7, and J8) and three LED indicators.Indicators are labeled on the faceplate as Run/Fail/Status. The IS200VSVAH1A is built with two backplane connectors (P1/P2,) four relays, and multiple integrated circuits, including Xilinx Spartan XCS40XL and DSP TMS 320C 32 PCMA 50.The board is populated with transistors, TP test points, an inductor coil, ferrite beads, over 500 capacitors, and over 900 resistors. Components are placed on both surfaces of the board. The IS200VSVAH1A boards that are located in the R, S, and T VME racks provide local servo current outputs that are combined on the TSVA terminal board to produce TMR outputs.As long as two out of three VSVA boards are operating without faults this servo output loop will continue to function.
