Description

The IS200VPROH2B is a GE board component created for the Mark VI system. The Mark VI was one of the last systems for gas and steam turbine management released by GE under the Speedtronic name.Speedtronic systems were created and developed by GE for four decades to be used for turbine management, starting with the Mark I in the 1960s until the Mark VIe ended production in the 2000s.The Mark VI is built with a Control Module as the center of the system. This control module connects to an Operator Interface or Human Machine Interface (HMI) created from a PC running on a Windows platform that allows users to access data from the Control Module and connected boards from a single location. The IS200VPROH2B is an Emergency Turbine Protection board. The IS200VPROH2B and other associated boards (TREG and TPRO) provide independent emergency overspeed protection for the system. The IS200VPROH2B also provides an emergency trip function within the

Protection Module. The IS200VPROH2B board is a lower power version of a VPROH1 board. It is important to note the IS200VPROH2B can only support one TREG board; if two TREG boards are going to be connected to J4, a VPROH1A or VPROH1B board must be used instead of this board. The IS200VPROH2B is built with two backplanes. The board has a vertical pin ribbon connector. There are two female plug connectors located parallel to the front faceplate. The board includes test points, polyester vinyl capacitors (W230D1C106K 10.0 +/- 10% 200V.)The board makes use of surface wiring in several locations. Much of the surface is populated with resistors, capacitors and diodes. The board also has several transistors and integrated circuits. The majority of the surface is covered by a single large heat sink component. The front faceplate is marked with the manufacturer's logo, the board number, and has several components mounted into its surface, including a DIN connector, several D-shell multi-pin cable connectors, a female power plug, and multiple LED indicators.
