Description

The IS200VAOCH1A is a GE Mark VI printed circuit board component.The MKVI, which was released by General Electric as part of their Speedtronic line, is designed as a heavy-duty gas/steam turbine management system.The MKVI has integrated hardware and software design and includes a Central Control Module that is responsible for the bulk of system protection, control, and monitoring.This control module connects to an optional HMI (human-machine interface) designed from a PC running on a Windows platform, which allows for easy access to turbine data and alarms. The IS200VAOCH1A functions as an Analog Output board.It controls sixteen analog 20mA outputs that are each wired to analog terminal boards (either TBAO or DTAO.)The IS200VAOCH1A receives digital values over the VME backplane from the VCMI board and then converts these to analog output currents.These currents are then sent to the terminal board where they are measured and fed back to IS200VAOCH1A for control. It is important to note the IS200VAOCH1A is one of the earlier generation VAOC boards and will support up to a 500 Ω load resistance over 1000 feet of #18 wire. For proper operation, pair this board with terminal board TBAOH1B, or a DTAI terminal board. TheIS200VAOCH1A is built with a single-slot faceplate attached to the front edge of the PCB via three screws. The faceplate is empty of components except for three LED indicators.These indicators are labeled run/fail/status. TheIS200VAOCH1A includes two backplane connectors as well as several connectors made from conductive dots.It has sixteen relays that are located in two rows placed on the board surface at a right angle to each other.The board has dozens of integrated circuits including SRAM chips and field programmable gate arrays. It is populated with capacitors, diodes, and resistors made of various materials.
