Description

The IS200SFCBG1A is a printed circuit board or PCB which is known as a firing circuit. This circuit board is one of many components in the Mark VI series by General Electric or GE. The Mark VI is one of the series in General Electric's Mark lineup. The Mark VI and the other series in the Mark line were developed to manage the operations of gas and steam turbines. Mark products have been utilized in industrial turbines for decades since the Mark I's debut in 1969. The IS200SFCBG1A is a large circuit board which is shaped like a square. Two (2) large resistors which are light grey have been placed on the top half of the PCB on either side. These resistors are rectangular. A large switch which is made of silver metal is positioned directly between the two resistors. This metal component has been attached to the circuit board with two (2) white wires. The IS200SFCBG1A contains a small terminal block which is attached to the upper border. This terminal block is green in color and it features six (6) terminals. SFC boards are single-phase relays which have a static time-overcurrent unit. These contain optional hinged armature type instantaneous overcurrent units which provide instantaneous tripping at high-current levels. This instantaneous unit has a high seismic capability. Time-overcurrent relays are used to protect utility and industrial distribution systems as well as overload backup protection. Time-overcurrent relays are used in applications for which accurate current measurement and timing is important, such as protecting feeders, transmission lines, and alternating-current machines and transformers.
