The IS200IGPAG1A is a PCB component designed to function as a Gate Driver Power Supply Board, made for the Mark VI system.The MKVI was one of the last Speedtronic systems released by GE. The Speedtronic series was created and developed to manage gas and steam turbines.Various Speedtronic systems have managed turbine systems since the 1960s. The Mark VI includes a central Control Module that connects to an HMI (human machine interface) built on a Windows PC. TheIS200IGPAG1A furnishes DC gate driver power for IGCTs (Integrated Gate Commutated Thyristors.)The IS200IGPAG1A is mounted directly on the IGCT, one board per IGCT. It is worth noting the IS200IGPAG1A cannot be probed or touched when the bridge is energized, as it is floating at the cathode potential of the IGCT. TheIS200IGPAG1A has two coil inductors located on one long board edge.The 9-pin supply output header connector is located between these components.The 5-pin power supply input is located on the opposite edge. High voltage electrolytic capacitors populate the board on two sides; there are a total of seven of these components.The board also includes eight LED indicator lights, eight TP test points, several transistors, and two fuses. Polyester vinyl and ceramic capacitors are also used on the board. Resistors tend to be metal film.The board also has several heat sinks that are located side-by-side on the board.
