The IS200EXAMG1A is a component designed to work within the Mark VI system from General Electric.The Mark VI is part of the Speedtronic line that has been in production since the late 1960s and has been GE's primary gas/steam turbine management system for decades.When the Mark VI was released in the 1990s, it had the advantage of several decades of research in its development. The IS200EXAMG1A is an Exciter Attenuator Module.This module works in conjunction with an EGDM board as a field ground detector to protect the generator shaft.Ground paths from any exciter components are detected by the field ground detector. The IS200EXAMG1A acts to drive the electrical center of the field winding with a low-frequency ac voltage relative to ground. The IS200EXAMG1A is built with two female connectors, including one female 3-position plug (J1) and a female nine-position cable connector (J2) that is also labeled Ground Detector.”The board has one screw connection for the use of surface wiring (TB1,) three jumper switches, and two stab-on connectors. The stab-on connectors are labeled E1 (Vbus-p) and E2 (Vbus-n.)The board has two metal oxide varistors, a single relay, four large polyester vinyl capacitors, twenty wire-wound resistors as well as resistors of other material. The board is marked with the board ID number and with the manufacturer's logo.
