Description
The DS3820PMMB is a “Field Exciter Motor Module” manufactured by GE for their Mark IV steam/gas turbine management system. This module is a modification of several DS3800 and DS3810 printed circuit boards that have been configured to work together within a single housing.
As noted above, the DS3820PMMB is built into a metal housing, which is built with cutouts to allow technicians room to access and service the circuit boards within. The housing is built with multiple flanges, tabs, and screw cutouts. Drill holes in the frame allow for mounting of boards. Boards mount to the frame using screws that seat into factory-drilled holes located in their corners. If mounting to another PCB, it is more likely nylon spacer pins have been used. Wires traversing from one PCB to another within the module are often covered by protective sleeves or clipped together using nylon ties. A heat sink has been placed into the framework of this module.
The DS3820PMMB includes PCBs like DS3810HSIC, DS3800DEPB, and DS3810HSSD. Due to the number of boards used in this module, however, it is impossible to list all components used. However, the DS3800DEPB board is populated with six vertical pin (male) connectors, one right-angled connector (218A4559-P23) two quick-connect screw mounts, and two trim potentiometers. The board is marked 6BA03.
The DS3820PMMB motor module is non-reversing. The team at TurbineIndustrial will ship this product to you in a protective covering. All technical support for the DS3820PMMB was provided by the original equipment manufacturer, including data sheets and manuals.
