Description

The DS3820MAUD is an HMI that has been built upon the DS3800HMAC PCB. This HMI works with the Mark IV steam/gas turbine management system, and has the following specifications and components:

• It is built with a human interface panel. This panel is marked “General Electric Directo-Matic Plus Control System Freeway Media Access Module.” The panel connects to the PCB below via six screws located on its front edge as well as by two pins that slide over two vertical nylon spacers located on the PCB.

• The front panel has three cutouts. These are labeled “Watchdog Timer Ok,” “Cable A OK,” and “Cable B OK.” The panel has two boxes that are labeled Link Controller Connector/JA and Power Connector/JG. It has two half-boxes located near its bottom edge, one labeled Cable A and one labeled Cable B. The two spots where the first terminates are labeled JB and JC; these correspond to two cable connectors located at the front of the panel. The two spots where the second terminates are labeled JD and JE; these also correspond to two cable connectors.

• The DS3800HMAC PCB located below the HMI panel is built with one six-pin header and one 218A4837-P12 mating connector. It has six red LEDs, which line up with the cutouts in the panel above.The board has two transistors, ten jumper switches, six test points, and forty integrated circuits including oscillators, J-K negative-edge-triggered flip-flops, hex buffers, and dual retriggerable one-shots. Resistors are both carbon composite and metal film.
