Description
The DS3815PCMA1E1E is a PCB designed by GE as a component for the Mark IV series. This series replaced the earlier MKI/MKII systems which, like the MKIV, were also used for steam and gas turbine management. The MKIV had a substantial decrease in the turbine outage rate vs. the previous two systems, primarily due to the use of distributed control functions over three microcomputer systems, which keep the turbine system running with a higher rate of reliability.
The DS3815PCMA1E1E has seven resistor network arrays. Network arrays can be used for voltage division. It also has fifty circuits, including 8-bit CMOS static RAM, 3-STATE Octal d-type transparent latches with full parallel-access for loading and buffered control inputs, and 4-bit up/down counters.
The DS3815PCMA1E1E is built with four TP test points, two LEDs (one red and one amber,) three jumper switches, and two extractors. The nylon extractor clips are designed to aid with insertion and extraction of the board. They give technicians a lever point to mechanically force the board out of position, as well as giving them a point to hold the board, rather than having to touch components or circuitry.
The DS3815PCMA1E1E is built with three PCB connectors. This includes one vertical pin connector used to communicate with an optional auxiliary board. If the auxiliary is installed it is supported at each corner by four vertical nylon pins and held in place by one board-to-board connector pin. There is also one 278A3465 AMP 745105-S connector, designed with two screw-mounts, and one 218A4553-1 Amp 102041-1 connector.
GE was the original provider of technical support for the DS3815PCMA1E1E. This includes all publications referencing this part, like manuals and datasheets.
