Description
The DS3815PABA1E1A is a small printed circuit board manufactured by GE for the Mark IV system. The MKIV manages gas or steam turbine systems, and is built with interconnected microprocessors that monitor the turbine system twenty-four hours a day. Compared to previous Speedtronic systems (MKI/MKII) the Mark IV offers an improved operator interface and more application flexibility along with a substantial decrease in turbine outage rate.
The DS3815PABA1E1A is built with eight red light emitting diodes placed on one edge. These are numbered from zero to seven. Next to these are two 1A213034GF thumb-wheel switch components. One is marked MSD and the other is marked LSD. These components combine direct decimal to binary conversion in a compact package. Each switch may be a different code. Next to the thumbwheels are two toggle switches. One of these has the option of being set to WR or to LADR. The other may be set to CONT or SS. The last components on this edge are three test points, labeled TP1/SIM1, TP3/COM, and TP2/SIM2.
The DS3815PABA1E1A is built with a single mating connector with a ribbon cable, marked 278A4702P3B.This is for communicating with the larger board that DS3815PABA1E1A may be mounted to. The board has four circuits on its surface, including octal buffers and line drivers. One circuit has been updated with the code 9172P0191. There is also one jumper switch. This may be set to 2716 or 2732.
The DS3815PABA1E1A is marked with the code 6BA03. Most capacitors located on the board are fixed vacuum. Most resistors are made of ceramic-covered metal film.
Technical support and publications like data sheets and manuals for the DS3815PABA1E1A were provided by General Electric.
