Description
GE (General Electric) created the DS3800XAIG1 for the MKIV (Mark IV) system. The DS3800XAIG1 is what is known as an analog interface printed circuit board. The Mark IV series was made for turbine control in both steam and gas turbines. The MKIV is a component in the Mark series of turbine management. The first Mark system called Mark Iwas introduced in the late 1960s.
All operations of gas and steam turbines are controlled by the Mark IV. These include the regulation of fuels, turbine shutdown, and startup, the regulation of temperatures, troubleshooting, and many other functions. Fuel, air, and emissions are also controlled by the Mark IV. The Mark IV system also protect both the users of the turbine and the turbine equipment itself from harm which may result from operating under less than ideal conditions. The Mark turbine systems were created based on techniques which have been improved for decades since the late 1940s. The Mark IV uses technologies which were state of the art when the system was created. This PCB is small in size and only has a few components. The DS3800XAIG1 contains five (5) long rectangular components which cover most of the PCB. Three (3) of the rectangular components are made of black plastic. The other two (2) rectangular components are gold and made of metal. These long components are each labeled with the initials TB. The DS3800XAIG1 has three (3) light blue jack connector ports. These ports are arranged in a line on the side of the DS3800XAIG1.
