Description
The DS3800XAIC1 is a printed circuit board or PCB. General Electric created this PCB as a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV or MKIV which is in control of turbine operation. The Mark IV controls both steam and gas turbines. The MKIV is just one part of the Mark series of turbine systems. The Mark systems automate every function of a turbine. This includes startup, shutdown, and cooldown, fuel injection and system temperature as well as many other auxiliary functions. The Mark IV has been in use for industrial turbine automation since the late 1960s.
The DS3800XAIC1 contains a variety of different electronic circuit board components. Nine large components which are placed vertically on one side of the board are the most noticeable of these components. These large devices are rectangular in shape. Six (6) of these large components are black and made out of plastic. The remaining three (3) components are also rectangular in shape. These are gold in color and made of metal. Each of these large components is labeled with the initials ATB. A variety of yellow capacitors are positioned among the rectangular components. There are six (6) mid-sized capacitors and thirty (30) small capacitors. A series of jumpers can be seen on the DS3800XAIC1. Also on the DS3800XAIC1 is a variety of resistors. Many of the resistors are covered various colored bands. The remaining resistors are either solid grey or solid light blue in color. Twelve (12) connector ports are positioned on the DS3800XAIC1. All of the ports are what are called “male” connector ports.
