Description
The DS3800NTIA1 is a PCB from GE designed as a component for the Mark IV series. The MKIV was developed by GE to replace their earlier Speedtronic gas/steam turbine management systems, like the MKI and MKII, which were introduced as early as 1968. The MKIV introduced the use of integrated platforms run by microprocessor. These platforms monitor the turbine continuously for issues like vibration, high pressure, and flame loss.
The DS3800NTIA1 has a single amber LED located in one corner. It has a line of eight test points and two locations on the board where spare PTH (plated through-holes) have been added to the board. One area of the board has been printed with a distinct basket-weave pattern; no drill points or through-hole components are located in this area. The board has four vertical nylon pins made to support a supplemental (auxiliary) board.
The DS3800NTIA1 is marked on different edges with the letters A through J, with the code ‘6BA02,’ and with its identification number. The GE mark appears on the board. Mounting holes have been drilled in each corner. Two are populated with extractor clips. These clips are sometimes used by technicians as a handle, to avoid touching the board and possibly damaging components.
The DS3800NTIA1 has two jumper switches, one transistor fitted with a heatsink, ten circuits, a single resistor network array, and one mating connector.This mating connector is a right-angled female connector.
