Description
The DS3800NRTC1A1A is a PCB manufactured by GE for the Mark IV series. This series manages gas or steam turbine systems with triple redundant backups on all critical parameters to limit downtime caused by electronics failure. The Mark IV also automates certain standard procedures for increased efficiency, such as shutdown.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A has eight transistors and seven test points. It has one jumper switch, which lets the user finish that circuit as they choose. The board is built with fourteen trim potentiometers. Potentiometers allow for variable voltage resistance. Six of these are placed in the right upper quadrant. The rest are in a line parallel to the left side of the board.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A can communicate with other PCBs via two mating connectors. One is located along the board’s left side. This is a 218A4553-1AMP 533002-1 connector. The other is placed in the lower right corner, is a right-angled male connector, and is marked 218A4637 P3.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A has various markings along its edge, including ‘6BA01,’ ‘NRT 6DA01,’ and A through J. The board has extractor clips installed to help with the insertion or extraction of the board, especially when it is being used in an area without much room. Extractors give technicians a lever point to ‘pull’ the board out with, or a handle to hold the board with.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A is built with both metal film and carbon composite resistors. Capacitors may be polyester film, ceramic, or other material.
The DS3800NRTC1A1A has twenty-six circuits that include amplifiers, analog switches, and 8-channel CMOS analog multiplexers.
