Description
General Electric manufactured the DS3800NRTB to function as an RTD conditioning card in their Mark IV series. This series, which was introduced in 1982 and replaced GE’s earlier MKI and MKII Speedtronic systems, was designed to monitor gas and steam turbines like those earlier Speedtronic systems, but did so with increased reliability and a much lower turbine outage rate due to the introduction a system of integrated microprocessor-run platforms that all worked together around the clock to protect the system from issues like loss of flame, high pressure, vibration, and fire.
The DS3800NRTB is alignment marked along one edge. The top layer of the board has been cut away at each corner, meaning the factory-drillings are made only through the bottom layer. Extractor clips are installed in two corners. The board is marked with the GE symbol, its identification number, and with the code 6BA01. Two PCB mating connectors are located on the board, including one right-angled female connector (218A4551-1 A/mp 102041-1) and one right-angled male connector with 13 pins.
The DS3800NRTB has fourteen potentiometers, one jumper, fourteen potentiometers, eight transistors, and twenty-six circuits. The board is populated with carbon composite and metal film resistors. Capacitors tend to be either aluminum electrolytic or polyester vinyl.
Our team at TurbineIndustrial will package the DS3800NRTB carefully and protect it with a static-reducing covering or sleeve before sending it off to you. Before installation, we suggest studying any OEM paperwork (like data sheets or manuals) you may have for this part. All technical support for the DS3800NRTB was provided by GE.
