Description
The DS3800NRFA1F1E is a printed circuit board manufactured by GE as part of their Mark IV line. This series was designed for gas and steam turbine control and has improved efficiency due to its ability to automate certain procedures like startup and shutdown. The Mark IV also improves efficiency by limiting downtime caused by electronics failure, as it is able to shift responsibilities from a damaged PCB to other PCBs, due to its intentionally designed integrated chipsets with overlapping responsibilities.
The DS3800NRFA1F1E works as the motherboard for the optional DS3800DRFA. When this auxiliary is installed the DS3800NRFA1F1E will have access to additional components, including potentiometers and quick-connect screw mounts. This optional board connects to the DS3800NRFA1F1E by board-to-board pins located in a parallel line in the top right quadrant of the board.
The DS3800NRFA1F1E has six TP test points. These are marked TP0-TP5. The board is built with eight LEDs (light emitting diodes.) It also has two extractor clips installed. These aid technicians during installation and extraction--especially from locations with little working room--by giving them a handle or a lever point to move the board by. This lessens wear and tear on the surface of the board.
The DS3800NRFA1F1E has one right-angled mating connector populating its left edge. This is marked 218A4553-1 Amp. It also has one 28-pin Augat connector located near the bottom left of the board. This is a female connector.
The DS3800NRFA1F1E is built with one transistor. It has thirty-one integrated circuits, including hex inverters.
