Description

GE manufactured the DS3800NRCA1D1C PCB as a component for their Mark IV series. The Mark IV is designed for managing steam/gas turbine systems. It improves the efficiency of these systems by automating some processes like startup, shut down and cool down procedures. The Mark IV also uses integrated chipsets built with intentional overlapping responsibilities on protection parameters and critical controls to limit downtime caused by electronics failure.

The DS3800NRCA1D1C is built with twenty jumper switches.Five of these jumpers can be set either to ‘f’ or to ‘t,’ but many of them are multi-positional. J19, for example, has four position options, including 7 in, 12 in, 14 in, and RES. These multi-positional jumper switches allow the user to customize the board as they desire.

The DS3800NRCA1D1C is built with three red light emitting diodes (LEDs,) one trim potentiometer, and seven test points.The board has two PCB mating connectors that allow the board to communicate with other boards. This includes one male right-angled 5 pin connector on the right side of the board, and a 218A4553-1 AMP 533002-1 connector on the left side of the board.

The DS3800NRCA1D1C has two resistor network arrays, one transistor, one transformer (782E 3E2A) and multiple resistors made of both carbon composite and ceramic covered metal film. It has three amplifiers, including one Burr-Brown operational amplifier with high current and high power. This amplifier is surrounded by a heat sink.

The DS3800NRCA1D1C has twenty-six integrated circuits on the board, including dual d-type positive-edge-triggered flip-flops and octal buffers and line drivers.
