Description
The DS3800NPTA1 is a PCB from GE manufactured for the Mark IV series. This series was created to manage steam or gas turbines systems. The MKIV has several microcomputer platforms that continuously monitor the turbine for issues like vibration, loss of flame, over-speed, and fire. The MKIV can automate some procedures, such as startup and shutdown, control sequencing, and speed control.
The DS3800NPTA1 has one right-angled female PCB mating connector. This is marked 218A4553-1 AMP 533002-1. It has one right-angled male mating connector. This is a 10-pin connector. The board is marked on its edge with several bits of information: it has its code identifier, the code 6BA02, and it is marked with alignment triangles and the letters A-J on one edge.
The DS3800NPTA1 has seventeen circuits. The board has one resistor network array, three jumper switches, and twenty-four trim potentiometers. Both resistor networks and potentiometers can be used as voltage dividers.
The DS3800NPTA1 has ceramic-covered metal film resistors as well as carbon composite resistors. It has several kinds of capacitors, but the most notable are two large polyester vinyl capacitors. These are not through-hole components but instead are wired directly to the board.
The DS3800NPTA1 has extractor clips inserted in two corners. These nylon clips may be used as handles by technicians when they are inserting or extracting the board. They also provide a lever point to push the board against the frame or chassis, which aids in extraction from tight locations.
