This device was made by General Electric (GE). The DS3800NPSY was produced to be part of the Mark IV system of turbine automation. This device is a printed circuit board.

Six (6) capacitors are prominently featured on the DS3800NPSY. These capacitors are large and silver. They are aligned in a row on the right side of the circuit board. A pair of large inductors, which are also known as coils, are placed along the upper edge of the DS3800NPSY. These inductors are labeled with the part number 448373823-601 8709 and the initials TNI in white writing. Each inductor is attached to the circuit board with red wire. One (1) orange light-emitting diode (LED) is also situated on the upper edge of the DS3800NPSY. Two transistors are placed on the right half of the circuit board. These transistors are large and silver. They are mounted on a silver metal plate. Each transistor is connected to the surface of the circuit board with grey wires. On the opposite end of the DS3800NPSY there are two (2) additional transistors. These transistors are also large and silver. They are mounted on small black plates. One small connector port is placed on the left edge of the DS3800NPSY. This port is a “male” connector port with forty pins. Four (4) potentiometers, which are also known as variable resistors, are positioned near each other on the DS3800NPSY. These potentiometers are blue in color. The dials on each potentiometercan be used by the operator to change the resistance of the devices.
