Description
The DS3800NPSP1 is a PCB, or printed circuit board. This device is a power supply circuit board. The DS3800NPSP1 was made by General Electric as a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV system, which is a late version of the Mark series created for the control and monitoring of turbine functions. These systems also protect the turbine from any operating conditions which may be unsafe.
The DS3800NPSP1 has two (2) empty places on the right side of the board which were created to house large capacitors. These capacitor spaces are labeled C1 and C2. On the bottom part of the DS3800NPSP1, there are twenty-four small grey and black diodes. The diodes are positioned in two groups. These groups consist of rows of two diodes each. Three red terminal blocks are located alongside the diodes. Two terminal blocks contain two terminals each. These are known as JL and JM. The last terminal block consists of twelve terminals and is called JC. An operator can attach more circuit board components to the DS3800NPSP1 using these terminal blocks. Near the top of the DS3800NPSP1 there are five large black resistors. The resistors are marked with the initials R2 through R6. Next to the large resistors is one small metal resistor. An LED, or light-emitting diode, can be found on the far left side of the DS3800NPSP1. When the LED is functioning, it will emit an orange light. The DS3800NPSP1 has a rectangular capacitor which is silver in color on its right side. The circuit board’s full part number, DS3800NPSP1, is stamped on the lower edge.
