Description

The DS3800NPSL1A1A was made by GE (General Electric). The DS3800NPSL1A1A is part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series. The Mark IV system is in charge of controlling gas and steam turbines.

Most noticeable on the DS3800NPSL1A1A are three (3) large inductors, also known as coils. The inductors are round and are covered in plastic. The covers of the inductors are black on the sides and blue on top. On the left edge of the DS3800NPSL1A1A there is a long black connector port. The operator may attach extra components to the DS3800NPSL1A1A with this port. The DS3800NPSL1A1A features (9) integrated circuits. Eight (8) of the integrated circuits are positioned to the left of the DS3800NPSL1A1A. The last integrated circuit is located close to the bottom right corner of the DS3800NPSL1A1A. Three (3) medium capacitors are connected to the bottom end of the DS3800NPSL1A1A. Connected to the rightof the DS3800NPSL1A1A is one (1) light-emitting diode (LED). The light-emitting diode emits an orange glow when it is working. Situated on the DS3800NPSL1A1A are four (4) small transistors which are silver. The transistors are arranged together close to the bottom right corner of the DS3800NPSL1A1A. Many small resistors which are banded in different colors are located all around the DS3800NPSL1A1A. Also featured on the DS3800NPSL1A1A are numerous small capacitors. There is also a series of small black diodes on the DS3800NPSL1A1A. Several test points also featured on the DS3800NPSL1. These test points enable the user to test the DS3800NPSL1A1A to make sure that it is working properly.
