General Electric produced the DS3800NPSE1B1A to be a component in the Speedtronic MKIV or Mark IV series. The Mark IV series is one of several systems in the Mark series for turbine control. These systems automate turbine functions and maintain the systems’ safety.

The DS3800NPSE1B1A features many different types of electronic circuit board components. The circuit board has many capacitors on its surface. Most of these capacitors are yellow in color. Some of them are silver. Thirty-seven (37) medium-sized yellow capacitors can be found on the DS3800NPSE1B1A. Twenty-seven (27) of these are lined up in vertical rows. Three (3) of the rows contains eight (8) capacitors each and the fourth row contains three (3) capacitors. Nine (9) additional capacitors are arranged in a horizontal line directly above these. Near the top right corner of the DS3800NPSE1B1A there is one last mid-sized yellow capacitor. One (1) smaller yellow capacitor is located near the bottom left of the DS3800NPSE1B1A. This printed circuit board features three (3) black connector ports. Two of these ports are positioned on the left side of the DS3800NPSE1B1A. They each contain forty (40) male connector pins. The third connector port can be found at the top of the DS3800NPSE1B1A. This port is half of the size of the other two. It contains twenty (20) male connector pins. Several jumper pins are also featured on the DS3800NPSE1B1A. These jumper pins may be connected by a blue jumper. Six devices called fuses can also be seen on the DS3800NPSE1B1A. One fuse is positioned along the upper edge of the board. One fuse is sitting in the middle of the DS3800NPSE1B1A. The remaining four fuses are grouped together in pairs near the bottom of the DS3800NPSE1B1A.
