Description

The DS3800NPSB1F1L printed circuit board (PCB) was created by GE (General Electric). This board is a component in the Speedtronic MKIV or Mark IV series. Mark IV has been in use consistently since the late 1960s to control turbines.

The letters A through J are listed along the upper edge of the DS3800NPSB1F1L. Nine (9) large brown resistors are located around the DS3800NPSB1F1L. These resistors are banded in various colors such as gold, red, blue, grey, red, and purple. Numerous small banded resistors in different colors take up a large portion of the DS3800NPSB1F1L. Many small blue-green capacitors are scattered throughout the DS3800NPSB1F1L. There are nineteen (19) of these capacitors in total. One (1) light emitting diode (LED) is positioned on the right edge of the DS3800NPSB1F1L. This diode is orange in color and glows when it is in use. One (1) silver capacitor which is rectangular is on the right half of the DS3800NPSB1F1L. Also found on the right side of the DS3800NPSB1F1L is a series of six (6) test points labeled TP. Each test point gives the operator of the board the ability to test certain functions of the board. Several large capacitors are attached to the DS3800NPSB1F1L circuit board. Three (3) of these capacitors are orange. They are located at various points on the circuit board. The DS3800NPSB1F1L also has several large yellow capacitors. There are four (4) of these capacitors in total. They are grouped together near the lower left corner of the DS3800NPSB1F1L. A variety of silver capacitorsranging in size from large to smallalso appears on the DS3800NPSB1F1L.
