Description

The DS3800NPCR1A1A is a printed circuit board or PCB. The DS3800NPCR1A1A is a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV created by General Electric (GE). The Mark IV is one of the systems in the Mark series. The Mark IV, like the Mark I and Mark II which came before it, was made to control gas and steam turbines. The processes that the Mark IV is based on have been improved and developed for decades since the late 1940s.

The Mark I, which was the first Mark system, was first created in 1968. The Mark systems are based on the control, automation, sequencing, and protection of turbines. State of the art technology was used in the Mark IV system. All requirements of steam and gas turbines are fulfilled by the Mark IV. The Mark IV controls fuel, temperatures, and steam and water injection. The Mark IV also controls shutdown, cooldown, and startup. A system of diagnostics is built into the Mark IV. These include power-up, background, and manually started diagnostics. The diagnostic system is very helpful for repairing turbines and troubleshooting problems. A printer is featured in the Mark IV system which prints out a copy of the display on the turbine. This printer logs and time stamps alarms. This creates a log of the turbine’s issues. They can help to determine the cause of a trip in the system. Fuel, emissions, and air are controlled by the Mark IV. It is also in charge of the sequencing of fuels as well as protecting against harmful conditions.
