Description
The DS3800NPCF1A1A was created to be a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV system, otherwise known as MKIV. The Mark IV system, like the other systems in the Mark series, was made by GE (General Electric). The DS3800NPCF1A1A is a daughter board (or daughter card), which is a type of small PCB (printed circuit board). A daughter board is a type of circuit board which is positioned on the top of a bigger circuit board. Adding a daughter card gives a component extra features and gives the operator more choices.
The DS3800NPCF1A1A is a very small PCB. The card contains only a few circuit components. The most prominent components on the DS3800NPCF1A1A are six (6) large resistors which are black in color. The resistors arranged in a group together on the card. Four of the resistors are aligned in rows of two. The large resistors are attached to the surface of the DS3800NPCF1A1A with two wires each. Each one is set up above the surface of the DS3800NPCF1A1A with supports which are white and made of plastic. Every resistor is identifiable with the designator R. These components are named R1 to R6. Situated in all four corners of the DS3800NPCF1A1A are openings which enable the card to be screwed onto a larger board. The DS3800NPCF1A1A contains one (1) wire link, also known as a jumper. This jumper is identifiable by the designator J. This jumper is called J1.
