Description
The DS3800NMFA1 is a PCB manufactured by GE for their Mark IV line. This series was created for gas/steam turbine management. It has improved efficiency due to limited downtime. Integrated boards duplicate important processes as back-ups to each other, which allows the system to continue running even if one board has an issue. The system also automates certain procedures (startup and shutdown, for example) to help improve efficiency.
The DS3800NMFA1 acts as a motor field regulator. It is built to accept an optional auxiliary board(DS3800DMFA.) If this board is installed the DS3800NMFA1 will have access to multiple quick-connect screw mounts and ten potentiometers. The auxiliary board is held in place by twenty board-to-board connectors.
The DS3800NMFA1 is built with six red LEDs and one amber LED. It has twelve TP test points.All are located along the right board edge. Each right corner has one extractor clip installed. Extractors allow technicians to install or extract the PCB from tight locations without having to touch delicate circuitry. It is factory-drilled at all corners.
The DS3800NMFA1 has one Augat connector, one PCB mating connector (218A4553-1,) and twelve transistors. It is built with nineteen integrated circuits including dual operational amplifiers, quad single supply comparators, and Quad 2-input positive NOR gates.
The DS3800NMFA1 is built with metal film and carbon composite resistors, and polyester film and fixed vacuum capacitors. All components are marked.
Datasheets, manuals, and other technical support publications for the DS3800NMFA1 came from GE. These publications may be used for reference when doing any sort of work on the components.
