General Electric’s Mark IV Speedtronic Turbine series features the DS3800NMEA circuit board. The DS3800NMEA has seven large black diodes, two large bright red diodes, twenty-six dark red diodes, thirty-five clear diodes with orange corners, four pale blue diodes, eight bulbous pale blue diodes, and three small teal diodes. A diode only allows for the energy to flow through them in one direction. The DS3800NMEA has over two-hundred and fifty resistors. Each resistor is used to restrict the energy flow throughout the board. The DS3800NMEA also has two Potentiometers also known as variable resistors. The variable resistors are used to adjust the amount of energy that flows through the board at any given time. The DS3800NMEA has a large yellow capacitor and a small yellow capacitor. The DS3800NMEA also has two small blue female ports with twenty-eight terminals in each port. The DS3800NMEA also has one small white male port, two small black male ports, and one large black male port. The DS3800NMEA has a combination of thirty integrated circuits. The integrated circuits are separated into two separate groups. The two groups are called EPROM and EEPROMs. The EPROMs are an updateable integrated circuit while the EEPROM is an already programmed integrated circuit that cannot be altered. Both of these integrated circuits hold the programming data for the DS3800NMEA to work in unison with the other circuit boards. The DS3800NMEA has twelve transistors that are small black half circles. A transistor is used to amplify or alter electrical power or electronic signals.
