General Electric’s Turbine series Speedtronic (Mark IV) includes the DS3800NHVK circuit board.Gas Turbines are a widely used form of energy production. Gas turbines use a fuel and air mixture in an internal combustion engine to ignite and create a gas mixture. This gas mixture builds pressure and makes the turbine spin, which generates the energy.

The DS3800NHVK has twelve large brown diodes with stripes, and six tiny blue diodes with stripes (limit energy flow). The DS3800NHVK seven small black diodes, ten average sized grey diodes, and two white diodes (allow energy to flow in one direction). The DS3800NHVK also has four red LEDs (light emitting diodes) which illuminate when current passes through them. The DS3800NHVK has twenty holes through the circuit board. These holes are used to attach the DS3800NHVK in place. The DS3800NHVK has four large silver capacitors, four average sized yellow capacitors, four large black capacitors, and two tiny yellow capacitors (these store excess energy). There are six male ports with white plastic casings and three prongs in each port on the DS3800NHVK. The DS3800NHVK has four large black squares. These squares are called relays and control the amount of energy the board takes in, especially if the energy current is more than the circuit board can handle. The DS3800NHVK has every piece labeled with its respective letter and number combination for easy identification. The circuit board also has its part number (DS3800NHVK) printed along the edge of the board.
