Description

The GE DS3800NGDC is a PCB manufactured as a part of the Mark IV series designed to function as a ground detector board. The Mark IV, which was created for steam or gas turbine control, helps maintain safe parameters for the turbine system and helps to keep it running within those parameters. It can also automate some procedures such as startup and cooldown.

The DS3800NGDC has the following specifications:

• It is built with various capacitors and diodes. This includes two blue 25V 100 μf capacitors and two yellow Seacor DC foil & film capacitors (polyester) with axial leads rated at 600V.

• It has one 2-position PCB terminal block. It also has one 5-position PC mount terminal strip. These are located on opposite edges of the board from each other. At 90 degrees from both of these is a male 3-pin header.

• It has four integrated circuits.

• It has six TP test points. It is important to note these are numbered TP0-TP5. TP0 acts as a ground.

• It is drilled at all corners of the board.

• There are three transistors mounted to the board. This includes two small transistors and one larger Motorola NPN power transistor. The Motorola transistor has a heatsink installed.

• It has spare plated through holes (PTH).)

• It is built with three cement wire wound resistors. Two are elevated off the board by the use of nylon plugs through the wires. It also has smaller ceramic covered metal film resistors.
