Description

The DS3800NEPA1E1D PCB is designed as a motor exciter powerboard component for the Mark IV (Speedtronic) series. The Mark IV was created for steam and gas turbine control management and is based upon integrated chipsets built with overlapping, copied responsibilities. These intentional redundancies help minimize downtime created by electronics failure.

The DS3800NEPA1E1D has vertically bulky modules attached to the PCB. The specifications of the board are:

• It has one thermistor (thermal resistor.) Thermal resistors lose resistance as they heat, so they are excellent devices for measurement and control.

• It has four rotarypotentiometers. Two are located near the center of the board and one is near the right edge.

• It has a single jumper switch, which can be set to "nr" or to "rev."

• It has integrated circuits attached to the board.

• In the upper left corner, there is a multi-pin terminal connector.

• It is marked (A-L, 10-80) and factory drilled. The drilling allows for mounting options for larger modules within the center of the board as well as giving option for mounting the PCB.

• It has two straight-pin connectors toward the bottom left of the board. One has seven pins (2-1-1-3) and the other has six pins (2-2-2.)

• It has nine larger metal film resistors with bands colored orange, white and gold. It has nine large orange capacitors. It has other smaller capacitors and resistors.

• It is built with two 44B379508-G02 Raycom Electronics modules.
