General Electric manufactured the DS3800NCLA to be a part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series which is in charge of gas and steam turbine control. This product is a PCB, or printed circuit board. The DS3800NCLA printed circuit board is an RS-232 interface circuit board.

Five (5) integrated circuits are on the DS3800NCLA circuit board. Located on every single integrated circuit is a variety of tiny components such as diodes, resistors, and capacitors. One black connector port is sitting on one side of the DS3800NCLA. With this connector port, more circuit boards or components can be added to the DS3800NCLA. There are two LEDs (light-emitting diodes) adjacent to the connector. When the diodes are working, they emit a red glow. A grey box containing eight (8) small devices can be found on the circuit board’s left side. There are around four (4) transistors positioned on the DS3800NCLA. Also featured on the circuit board are many capacitors in various colors and sizes. Near the upper edge of the DS3800NCLA, there are two (2) mid-sized silver capacitors. More capacitors in a variety of sizes and colors are located around the circuit board. Many banded resistors in different colors can be seen on the DS3800NCLA and are arranged in rows. Also placed on the circuit board are a few small diodes.
