The DS3800NCIB1 is a current isolator circuit board, which is a very important part in the Speedtronic Mark IV turbine control series. Having a current isolator is important for a variety of reasons. Current isolators reduce ground loop, get rid of any conducted noise, physically separateparts and ensurethat measurements taken are both safe and correct. A current isolator is also very important for safety. An isolator can protect operators from equipment that isn’t working properly and protect circuits, equipment, and people from the dangers of electric shock and short circuits.

The DS3800NCIB1 contains many different circuit components. There is 1 blue transformer which is identifiable by its part number, 218A4834-P1. Another transformer which is black is identifiable by its part number, 4202-1, is on the other side of the board. The DS3800NCIB1 has 4 blue jack boxes. Each jack box has “male” connector ports that let extra components be attached to the DS3800NCIB1. Situated on one half of the DS3800NC1B1 are 3 potentiometers. The potentiometers have adjustable dials that enable an operator to alter the resistance of the device as needed. Potentiometers are sometimes called variable resistors. Also featured on the DS3800NC1B1 are 2 integrated circuits. Very tiny components are included on every integrated circuit such as diodes, capacitors, and resistors among others. A variety of capacitors can also be found on the DS3800NCIB1 board. A wide range of resistors is featured on the DS3800NCIB1. The resistors feature colored bands that symbolize the resistance of each component.
