GE created the DS3800NASB1 PCB as part of their Speedtronic Mark IV system. The Mark IV was designed for gas and steam turbine control and is designed with intentional redundancies built into integrated chipsets. These overlapping two-out-of-three voting redundancies on protection parameters and critical controls minimize overall downtime within the Mark IV system.

The DS3800NASB1 has the following specs:

• It is drilled at the factory at several points for mounting options, including two times in each corner, then once offset from each corner, as well as one hole drilled in the middle of the board.

• It is marked 6BA03. It is marked for alignment along two edges (letters and numbers.)

• It has TP test points (14.) Test points 1 through 10 are placed parallel to the bottom edge but are not sequential.

• It has male connectors on all edges.These connectors vary from a 12-pronged connector (1) to 5-pronged connectors (4 along one edge) to 2-pronged connectors (3 along three edges.)

• It has multiple capacitors, including a large yellow capacitor, marked 708D1 600VDC, and seven Ceramite ceramic disc capacitors.

• It has three transistors. This includes one Motorola NPN transistor for amplifier applications and general purpose switching.

• It has seven integrated circuits.

• It has two potentiometers for voltage division.

• It has two transformers. The maximum operating temperature of the transformers is 155 degrees Celsius. 50/60 Hz.
