Description
The DS3800NADC1C1A is a PCB (printed circuit board) designed as an analog input circuit card for GE's Mark IV gas and steam turbine management system.The Mark IV can automate nearly all functions of the turbine and its auxiliaries, including startup, cool down and shut down procedures. The Mark IV can also be used for air, fuel and water emissions control.
The DS3800NADC1C1A has been drilled in all four corners to give the users options for mounting. It is alignment marked (A through J) along its top edge. Extractor clips have been installed on its right corners; these allow a technician to remove the board from tight spaces more easily. It also keeps the technician from touching circuitry. The DS3800NADC1C1A has four test points and one terminal block.
The DS3800NADC1C1A is built with multiple metal film resistors (ceramic covered) as well as two trim potentiometers. It has one male connector placed on its left edge for communicating with other PCBs.
The DS3800NADC1C1A is built with 33 integrated circuits. This includes a Datel A/D converter chip (ADC-HX12BMC.) The ADC-HX12 has an operating temperature range of 0 to +70 degrees Celsius. It is a self-contained high-performance, 12-bit A/D converter that has been manufactured with thick and thin-film hybrid technology. Five input voltage ranges are programmable by an external pin connection. An internal buffer amplifier is provided for applications where 50mOhm input impedance is required.
