Description
The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1D1D is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1D1D also is populated with 2 40-pin connectors between the retention levers. The board is also populated with 1 34-pin connector on the board surface for connection to a daughter card, and 5 jumpers.
The daughter card is an optional device you can add to the GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1D1D. If you replace the GE Series 6 Receiver Board DS3800HXRA1D1D it is necessary to remove the card from the old board and install it on the replacement board. Before you begin the procedure you must have several items readily available. Have on hand a wrist strap. The strap is connected on 1 end to a grounded surface. This might be metal desk, a metal chair, or a structural metal support beam in a work space. The metal is a electrical ground that attracts the static electricity on your person and on the board. It will drain to the grounded surface and leave your person and the board free from static. The strap uses a clip to attach to the ground. Some straps use a plug that attaches to a purpose-built connector on a desk or work table. The plug provides a convenient and reliable connection.
To store the daughter card, have on hand a static free bag in which to place the daughter card. This will keep the daughter card free from static until you install it.
