Description

The DS3800HXCA printed circuit board by General Electric has been manufactured to function as a shift register board within the Speedtronic Mark IV system. This series is designed for gas and steam turbine control. The Speedtronic series can sequence turbines and their auxiliaries during startup can be used for shut down and cool down procedures, and can protect the turbine system against unsafe operating conditions.

The DS3800HXCA has these specifications:

• Factory-drilled. Two corners are open and two have clips.

• Two connectors attached to the board, one on either short end. One is a separable female connector. The other (218A4553-1 A-mp) takes up the entire left edge of the board.

• Five resistor networks

• Five LEDs. These are located to each side of the separable female connector. To one side are three red LEDs labeled local, bus, and chan. To the other side is one red LED labeled active, and one amber LED labeled imok.

• Multiple integrated circuits. This includes circuits marked SN74LS20N (Motorola) I8611A, and SN74S74N (Texas Instruments) 401E.

• Seven jumper switches. J6 and J7 are separate from the first five jumper switches. J7 allows the user to change from 5.5mHz to 11mHz.

• Three test points. These are located near the LEDs

• Spare PTH (plated through holes.) These are situated near the upper right edge of the board.
