Description
The GE Video Driver Board DS3800HVDB1H1F is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Video Driver Board DS3800HVDB1H1F also is populated with 1 20-pin connector between the retention levers. The board is also populated with multiple electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules and 15 jumpers.
Firmware and programming code is subject to revision due to the incorporation of fixes, updates, and improvements. For that reason, it is best practice to use the most recent code in the drive. If you must call for service, often the most current software update can resolve some issues. The GE Video Driver Board DS3800HVDB1H1F enables you to easily apply the latest code to the EEPROM modules. This is because the EEPROMs are able to be updated while the modules are installed in the board. The code can be erased and overwritten.
The jumpers are one way for a technician to configure the board for use in the drive. When the original board arrives from the manufacturer, the jumpers are positioned in the default settings. These are the most commonly used jumper positions. However, all the jumper positions are described in the printed information supplied with the board. Before the board is installed, the jumper positions are documented and saved with the other important information related to the board. Set the jumpers on the new board to match the positions on the board you are replacing.

Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
