The GE Universal Memory Board DS3800HUMB1B1A is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Universal Memory Board DS3800HUMB1B1A also is populated with 1 toggle switch and 1 red indicator LED. The board is also populated with multiple electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules and 30 jumpers.

The prefix is followed by a number. The single-pin connectors all have numbers associated with them. Each quad has the same numbers assigned to the single-pin connectors. For that reason the quad ID is part of the single-pin connector ID. For example, connector Quad A pin 14 and Quad C pin 14 refer to different pins on the board.
