Made by General Electric, the DS3800HSPC1D1E is a speed position input board. GE made this board for the Speedtronic Mark IV series. Mark IV has been tasked with turbine control for decades since its creation.

Twenty-five (25) integrated circuits, labeled with the letter U, cover much of the DS3800HSPC1D1E. Tiny components are located on every integrated circuit. A variety of capacitors in silver, yellow, light blue and black are positioned all throughout the DS3800HSPC1D1E labeled with the letter C. Yet another capacitor is on the card featuring various colored bands signifying the energy capacity of the capacitor. Colored bands representing the device’s capacity can also be found on many of the board’s resistors. Two (2) transistors are on the DS3800HSPC1D1E, one of which is round and silver and one of which is black and half-moon shaped. The two transistors are labeled with the letter Q as Q1 and Q2. On the surface of the DS3800HSPC1D1E are several diodes banded in shades of red. Seven (7) test points are on the DS3800HSPC1D1E which let the board be tested for proper functionality. A male connector port which is blue in color is on the right of the board. A black jumper is on the DS3800HSPC1D1E which is used to connected the jumper pins and change the board’s functions. A variable resistor, or potentiometer, is seen on the DS3800HSPC1D1E. Potentiometers can be utilized to adjust things like volume in other devices. On the DS3800HSPC1D1E, the potentiometer is used to change of resistor’s resistance.
