Description
The GE High Level Isolator Board DS3800HSCG1D1E is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE High Level Isolator Board DS3800HSCG1D1E also is populated with 8 jumpers and 1 trimmer resistor. The board also is populated with 1 34-pin connector with retention levers and 1 programmable interrupt controller.
The 34-pin connector on the GE High Level Isolator Board DS3800HSCG1D1E requires special consideration when it is connected to or disconnected from a ribbon cable. The 34-pin connector is equipped with a pair of retention levers. When you connect the ribbon cable, hold the ribbon cable by the plastic connector on the end of the cable. Move the retention levers to the open position and insert the connector. Use your thumb to press the connector into the fully seated position. If you see space between the connectors, press the connectors together firmly. When the cable is fully seated, close the retention levers over the connector. The retention levers click to lock in place. Route the ribbon cable along the interior wall of the drive to maintain proper air flow in the drive.
To remove the ribbon cable, first release the retention levers from the ribbon cable. Hold the ribbon cable by the connector only. Firmly hold the connector and pull it out of the connector on the board. If you tug on the ribbon cable, you might damage the ribbon cable and cause the signal wires to pull from the connector.
