Description
The GE Dom Plus Servo Amp Board DS3800HSAA1T1M features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The board is populated with a heat sink. The analog/digital converter is a component embedded on the board. The GE Dom Plus Servo Amp Board DS3800HSAA1T1M is also populated with 1 34-pin connector and 1 socket for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules. The board is also populated with 3 trimmer resistors.
The GE Dom Plus Servo Amp Board DS3800HSAA1T1M is populated with multiple resistors and other components that serve to assist in normal processing activities. Some of the resistors are adjustable. This adjustment is performed by a qualified servicer. The qualified servicer will have the full featured testing device needed to properly adjust the resistor. The configuration is performed by turning a screw on the component. The resistor is referred to a trimmer resistor, because it can be trimmed to the proper resistance. If the board is removed from the drive and installed in another drive, the trimmer resistor can be readjusted for the new drive.
A heatsink is a device that draws heat away from a component. It is often used to cool a component that generates excessive heat. Once removed from the component, the heat dissipates into the air. The drive depends on air flow to remove heat. The air passes through the heatsink and removes the heat. If the air is blocked from entering or exiting the drive, the heat builds up and can damage the components.
