The GE Relay Output Board DS3800HRRA is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The board is populated with 8 red indicator LEDs and 1 reset toggle switch. The analog/digital converter is a component embedded on the board. It converts the analog signals to a digital format. The digital format is used for signal processing throughout the drive. The GE Relay Output Board DS3800HRRA is also populated with 1 amber indicator LED.

The amber indicator LED is on when an error has been issued concerning the operation of the board. The board has become defective or multiple other causes might be behind the error. To pinpoint the error, it is best practice to use the diagnostic tools available on the drive. The drive has a control panel with keys to navigate the diagnostic tools. The control panel has a user interface that gives access to the diagnostics. The user interface is menu-driven and with multiple menu options. The operator can select to edit the drive parameters which control the actions of the drive. The operator can also select the diagnostic tools. The report generated by the diagnostics tools gives a detailed record of the board activities and supplies details about any errors.

Another source of errors are the trip conditions that automatically shutdown the drive. An overheat condition can shutdown the drive to protect the components from damage caused by overheating.
