Description
The GE Function Processor Board DS3800HFPC features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Function Processor Board DS3800HFPC also is populated with 8 jumpers and multiple capacitors. The board also has 1 40-pin connector that is accessible from the front of the board. It also has standoffs for attaching a daughter card.
Another component on the board is a transistor to transistor logic (TTL) device. It serves as the interface logic between integrated circuits. The board serves in a variety of processing requirements that require different processing activities. To enable the board to be used in many different circumstances, the board must be configurable. The jumpers provide that capability. The jumpers enable the installer to control some aspects of how the board behaves. The installer will confer with the site engineering staff and the operators that monitor the drive and decide how to configure the drive. The information about the drives is provided in the printed material supplied with the original board from the manufacturing site.
Move the jumpers as required to configure the board. Use a set of pliers or your fingers to lift up the jumper and align it with the pins you want to cover. Gently install the jumper over the pins. Do not force the jumper over the pins because it might bend or break the pins.
Compare the jumper setting on the original board with the settings on the replacement board. Set the jumpers to match the jumpers on the original board.

Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
