Description

This is a circuit board that was created as part of the Speedtronic Mark IV series by General Electric. Mark IV is a system for controlling turbines. It was developed from the foundation of the previous Mark series, Mark I and Mark II. These system have been in use for decades for the purposes of turbine control, regulation and safety.

The DS3800HDRC1A1A contains integrated circuits designated as U1 to U24. On the board are jumper pins designated as J1 and J2. A pink jumper is included with each jumper pin and allows a user to adjust the operations of the board. Placed throughout the board's surface are small capacitors identified with the reference designator C from C1 to C25. A mid-sized silver capacitor is designated with the letter C, or C 31. The capacitor designated as C32 is a mid-sized orange capacitor. Blue connector ports rest on one end of the printed board, labeled with their part number, 218A4637-P4. A long connector port spans almost the entirety of the opposite edge of the board. An area designated as SPARE can be found on the top left corner of the board. Also featured on the board are a couple of resistor networks. Combinations of different resistors connected into a series are know as resistors networks. The resistance value of the resistor network is equal to the total sum of the resistance values of all the resistors contained inside the network.
