Description
The GE DS3800HDDD1 is a printed circuit board (PCB) manufactured as part of their Mark IV Speedtronic series. The Speedtronic series is a steam and gas turbine control system that has minimal downtime due to electronics failure.
The DS3800HDDD1 has been designed as a diagnostic display board. It has two parts: the operator panel and the connected printed circuit board.
The operator panel for the DS3800HDDD1 is connected to the PCB via four flathead screws and spacer channels. This has been divided by vertical lines into three sections. There are four LEDs in the first section.The first three of these are amber and the last is red. Below the LEDs is a switch. These are labeled "drive ok," "data link active," "ready to run," "fault," and "reset." The second section has three LED strips (red,) labeled as below. Each numbered label corresponds to two LEDs.

The DS3800HDDD1 PCB lines up with the corresponding operator panel. It is factory-drilled to accept the mounting screws and spacers mentioned above. The LEDs that show through the operator panel are mounted to the board to line up with the display accordingly.
The DS3800HDDD1 is marked A through J from corner to corner on its bottom edge. A multipin connector is located next to two thumbwheel potentiometers (labeled M58 and L58) along its left side.
The DS3800HDDD1 has multiple integrated circuits. There is a line of ceramic covered metal film resistors at the top and bottom of the board, as well as other resistors spaced throughout the board.
Technical support for Mark IV components including the DS3800HDDD1 was provided originally by GE. Please refer to their manuals and/or data sheets for installation guidelines.
