Description
The GE Universal Communications Processor Board DS3800HCMB1C1C is designed for quick installation in the drive. The board features a modular connector on 1 end and retention levers on the other end. The GE Universal Communications Processor Board DS3800HCMB1C1C also is populated with a microprocessor and 1 40-pin connector on the surface of the board. The board is populated with 1 amber indicator LED and standoffs. The board is also populated with 3 sockets for electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) modules and 25 jumpers.
The GE Universal Communications Processor Board DS3800HCMB1C1C is used to control the communications that occur in the drive. The microprocessor on the board is used to control the signals. The microprocessor generates heat during normal processing. To keep the drive within the temperature range it is important to consider some information before the drive in installed. The drive is often installed in a room with other equipment that also generates heat. Before you install the drive check the room temperature while the other equipment is operating.
Also check the wall on which the drive will be installed. The drive is installed on a wall or other vertical surface. If the wall is too warm, the drive will overheat while processing. Check the room on the other side of the wall. If it is hot, it might be that it is causing the wall to remain too warm. Check with engineers and operators to see if equipment can be removed to cool the wall. It might also be possible to install air conditioners to cool the room temperature.
