Description
The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAIC1A1A features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAIC1A1A also is populated with 9 jumpers, and 2 trimmer resistor components. The board also has 1 20-pin connector and several test points.
The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAIC1A1A is also populated with an analog/digital converter component. The converter is embedded on the board and cannot be configured. The component process signals that are received from other boards in the drive. It also processes signals sent to other components.
Excessive heat in the drive can cause a shortened life span for some components. It can also cause component failure. Excessive heat can also lead to a fire hazard or injury to individuals located near the drive. For that reason, you must plan the installation of the drive carefully to avoid overheating.
The drive is mounted on a wall or other surface when installed. The area is often surrounded by other drives and equipment that produce heat. Make sure the room is not too hot for the drive. Under some conditions, wall-mounted fans can produce a flow of air that can move heat from the drive. Another device to consider is a hood installed directly above the drive that removes heat. It can also remove dust, dirt, and harsh chemicals from the area.
When you route cables in the room, make sure they do not block the air vents on the top and bottom of the drive.
