Description
The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAFA1 features a modular connector for attachment to a drive and retention levers to hold the board in the drive. The GE Regulator Board DS3800HAFA1 also is populated with 11 jumpers, and 4 trimmer resistor components. The board also has 1 20-pin connector and 1 34-pin connector.
The board is engineered to be inserted into a board rack in the interior of the drive. When the board is inserted, a modular connector located at the rear of the board meets with a matching modular connector at the rear of the rack. The front of the board contains retention levers designed to lock the board in the rack. The retention levers also force the modular connectors to connect. This ensures that a complete connection is made between the board and the drive. The connectors enable the board to receive current and to send and receive signals.
Because the board has connectors for a 20-pin ribbon cable and a 34-pin ribbon cable, care must be taken when you route the cables. If power cables are also in the interior of the drive, limit the length of power cable that resides in the drive and keep the signal cables away from the power cables. The power cable radiates interference that can disrupt the signals in the ribbon cables. The drive relies on air flow to carry off heat from the interior of the drive. Ribbon cables can block the flow of air and cause the drive to overheat.

We ask that the defective board is sent in within 30 days of the purchase.
Repair
We offer repair on most GE Turbine boards we sell. Although we usually have replacements available, we recognize that customers may prefer to have their board repaired. Our repair program allows us to offer a lower cost alternative to replacement.
